Six months after her 100th birthday celebration, Dorothy Essery Hall (nee Hicks) passed away at the Kingston General Hospital. Born and raised in Centralia Ontario, she spent most of her adult life in Toronto and her retirement years in Colborne and Kingston. Mother of Stephen Hall (Lynn), Norman Hall (Sharon Komori) of Calgary and Gordon Hall of Nanaimo. Predeceased by her husband Frederick Earl Hall (1999), sister Mildred Creech (2017), brother Stanley Hicks (1998) and brother Clifford Hicks (1944). Grandmother of Kirsten McFarlane (Andrew) of Vancouver, Margot MacDonald (Warren) of Ottawa and Brian Hall (Nicole) of Kelowna. Great Grandmother of Trevor and Fiona McFarlane, Jane MacDonald, and Olivia and Abby Hall. Dearly loved by her niece Randie and nephew Clifford Hicks of Centralia. Dorothy loved good food, the cottage at Gull Lake, a funny story, the Saturday Globe and hugs from her family. We are forever grateful to Cora Masse for her kindness and friendship over the past many years. Thank you to the staff at Conservatory Pond Retirement Residence where she lived for the past 3 years and was an engaged and feisty member of the Residents' committee.
A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
