Ricci Mussio, beloved husband of Nilla Bertoia Mussio, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the age of 97, surrounded by his family. After 67 years of marriage, it breaks Nilla’s heart to say goodbye to her cherished husband and best friend. Son of Celeste and Elvira Mussio of San Lorenzo, Arzene, Italy. Cherished father of Celeste Tino (Cindy) and Larry Rino (Sandra). Adored by grandchildren Jesse (Sian), Celeste (Wesley), Stephanie (Matthew), and Mark (Jill). Devoted and fun-loving Bis Nonno who would never miss an opportunity to fund trips to the ice cream store for Lucienne, Merritt, Alexandra, and Mikayla. Predeceased by his siblings Gigi, Terzo, Gioconda and Angelina. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Ricci’s mantra of “you gotta sweat” served him well, being a tireless employee of Kingston Lath and Plaster, an honorary lifetime member of the Kingston YMCA, and a champion for health and wellness.
The family would like to thank the extended family of The Royale Place Retirement Residence for all of their love and wonderful care.
In accordance with Ricci’s wishes, there will be visitation at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church beginning at 10am on Wednesday October 25, with a funeral mass at 11am. Burial will be at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of the James Reid Funeral Home. Donations can be made directly or through the James Reid Funeral Home to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kingston YMCA.
