ROBERT JOHN HAMILTON

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert John Hamilton, age 46, at Kingston General Hospital on October 9, 2017.  Rob was surrounded by family as he peacefully succumbed to injuries sustained in a tragic accident. 

Rob is survived by his mother, Carol Anne Cruise, grand-mother Sybil Kelly, step-father Gary Cruise, and trusted side-kick, Shetland Sheepdog, Jak, all of Kingston.  He was predeceased by his best friend and grand-father, John Kelly, and his steadfast companion, his Shetland Sheepdog, Ziggy.

Rob was always a champion of the underdog.  As a young man he often offered a helping hand to friends in need, even while he was facing a challenge or two of his own.  Through those times when he faced the most adversity Rob never lost his kind heart or his generous nature, and he emerged a good, reliable and responsible man.  Rob’s passing will leave an empty place in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Many thanks to the staff in the ICU at KGH for their diligent and continuous efforts to stabilize Rob’s condition in his final hours.

In accordance with Rob's wishes, a private family celebration will be held.
