GILMOUR, Joan E. “Dolly” (nee Anson)
November 5, 1930 – October 5, 2017
Peacefully at Trillium Care Facility surrounded by the love of her family on October 5, 2017, in her 87th year. Dolly, loving wife of the late Donald “Gilly” Gilmour. Loving Mother of David, Debbie (Barry) Fawcett, Donna (Neil) Belland and Doug (Sonya). She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren; Craig (Jen) Dickson, Jeff (Lynsay) Dickson, Kari (Matt) Pomeroy, Brooke Gilmour, Jason and Kelly Belland, Maddison (Evan) McGrath, Brandon, Taylor, Jake, Tyson and Victoria Gilmour and great-grandchildren; Maizy, Briar, Chase, Jett, Chloee, Miles, Piper, Amelia and Elle. Dolly was predeceased by her parents John and Caroline Anson. Dear sister of Bud (Patty), late Anna May (late Ron) Evans, Barbara (late Doug) Baldwin, late Sonny (Marilyn) and Susan (Wayne) Scott. She will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews as well as her extended family Kelly (Hilaina), Randy (Carole), Tyler and Teri Lyn and their families.
Thank you to Dr. Danforth, Providence Care, CCAC and St. Elizabeth’s. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Loughlin and to all the staff at the Trillium Care facility for their special care and support while she was a resident there.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a private service for family at Cataraqui Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 15 form 1-3:30pm at James Reid Funeral Home, Reception and Celebration Centre, 1900 John Counter Blvd. (please enter through the rear parking lot entrance).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Society, Alzheimer’s Society or the Kingston Humane Society would be appreciated.
