Obituary of Jodi Starr Moran
MORAN, Jodi Starr (MacPhail) - On Monday, August 7th, 2017, after a hard-fought twelve rounds, our champion warrior threw her final punch while surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Jodi's energy, strength, courage and determination could always be felt by anyone through the cheers for her children by the track, soccer field and basketball court. It is no secret that her children Chet and Paige and her husband Scott are the lights of her life. She is a fiercely devoted mother and a loyal friend. Jodi's life is filled with love by her mother Ginger Butler (Bobby Ryan), her father Colin MacPhail, step-mother Betty MacPhail, mother-in-law Mary Moran and late father-in-law Ron Moran. Her flair for humor and amazing zest for life is forever celebrated by her brother Colin Troy MacPhail, sister Casey Davies, brother-in-law Derek Davies, sister-in-law Heather Moran, step-sisters Jessica DeWolde (Mark) and Lisa Quirt and step-brother Paul Quirt. Jodi will be missed by all of her cherished little bundles of energy Seone, Neve, Carter, Sidney, Ben and Owen and by her devoted friends Sherill, Jen, Kristy, Kim, Karen, Laurie, Dana and Candice. Special thank you to all of the nurses and physicians from the Oncology Program at Kingston General Hospital. Visitation will take place at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Friday, August 11th, 2017 from 7 pm to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at HARROWSMITH FREE METHODIST CHURCH, (3876 Harrowsmith Road, 1 km east of Highway 38) on Saturday, August 12th, 2017 at 1 pm. with Pastor Jan MacPhail officiating. A private family graveside service will follow at Harrowsmith Cemetery. Later in the afternoon, friends and family are welcome to a reception at the KINGSTON DISTRICT SHRINE CLUB (corner of Princess Street and Collin's Bay Road). In lieu of flowers, donations to U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) would be appreciated.
