Obituary of Donald James Moore

August 7, 1929 - August 4, 2017
Peacefully with his family next to him at Trillium Retirement and Care Community on Friday, August 4, 2017 in his 88th year. Very proud Dad of daughters Pamela (Mike Easton) and Debbie (Ed Kotelniski).  Predeceased by son Tom (1999). Grampa to Kate Everdell (Ian), Erin Newberry (Jared), Sonja Nelson (Phil) and devoted "Pa" to Grandson Andrew Easton, and four great grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by Joyce Lutz.  Don was predeceased by parents Hortense (Vipond) and Thomas Moore and siblings Les, George, Stewart, Si, Hope, and Douglas. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by many nieces and nephews, friends and colleagues from The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560, PUC and The Kingston Community Credit Union where Don was a Charter Member of the Kingston Employees Credit Union in 1957. He was a major campaigner in enrolling his fellow PUC employees. He was also a Board Member when the Board chose to become a Community Credit Union stepping down from this position in 1995.  As per Don's wishes there will be a Celebration of Life at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION BRANCH 560, 734 Montreal Street , Kingston, ON on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 4pm to 6pm.
