Obituary of Verna Hazel Knight

KNIGHT, Verna Hazel - A long-time member of Unit 1 at Edith Rankin Memorial United Church (ERMUC) passed away peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KGH) on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, in her 85th year. Verna (nee Trumbull), beloved wife of the late Gordon Knight, and loving mother to Wendy Franklin (Dennis) of Niagara Falls, Shirley Degen (Kai), Janice Verkerk (Ray) and Tina Knight all of Kingston. Verna will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Natasha (Keith), Christopher (Elise), Ryan (Stephanie), Geoff, Trevor (Terra), Megan (Joel) and Brandon (Alex) and by her five great grandchildren. Verna will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews. In keeping with Verna's wishes, cremation will take place at the James Reid Crematorium. Verna's family will receive friends at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, followed by a private family graveside service at the Cataraqui Cemetery.
