With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Margaret Anne Pickering (nee Campaigne), 88, of Kingston, Ontario, on Thursday, June 22, 2017. Margaret is survived by husband, Alan, children, Brian (Cindy), Cathy (Mike Whitman), Lynda (Steve Forsythe), Ellen Pickering and grandchildren, Sara and Curtis Pickering, Ashleigh and Tara Whitman, Jake and Keith Forsythe. Margaret will be greatly missed by all of her relatives, friends and the many people who worked with and benefited from her many years of volunteer work and endless devotion to her passions. In keeping with Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family invites relatives and friends to visit at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral service at EDITH RANKIN MEMORIAL UNITED CHURCH, 4080 Bath Road will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Luncheon to follow. The family will gather privately at Cataraqui Cemetery for the Service of Committal. In lieu of flowers, Margaret requested donations be made to the following charities; Edith Rankin Memorial United Church (sound system), The Owl Foundation (Vineland Station, Ontario), or Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre (Napanee).
