Obituary of Ronald George Barrett

BARRETT, Ronald George-
After a short illness, Ron passed away at Kingston General Hospital on Saturday, June 17, 2017 in his 82nd year with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 59 years of Ruth (nee Reid). Loving father of Scott (Pam), Jeff (Risa) and Chris (Sandy). Ron will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Paige, Mitchell, Matthew and Elanor. Ron grew up in Napanee and later moved to Kingston, where he retired from Celanese after more than 30 years of service and was a long-time member of Princess Street United Church. Cremation at James Reid Crematorium.  The family will receive friends at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Saturday, June 24 between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  A funeral service in celebration of Ronald's life will be held at PRINCESS STREET UNITED CHURCH, 484 Albert Street (at Princess Street), on Sunday, June 25 at 2:00 pm. Donations in sympathy can be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation or to Princess Street United Church.
