Obituary of John Wayne Zagozewski

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of John Wayne Zagozewski, who departed this world on November 11, 2021 at the age of 58. Beloved son of the late Sarah (Sally) and Ezydor (Issy) Zagozewski.

John will be remembered fondly by his friends and family, including his aunts Mae and Marie, his uncles Alex and Steve, and his cousins Paul & Jenny, Sandy & Carolyn, Shawn & Kelly, Eric, Derek, Kevin & Joey. 

In the late 70's and early 1980s, John was quarterback of his high school's football team and a star football player in Scarborough, where he grew up and was regularly featured in weekly sports news articles. He enjoyed listening to music and playing his guitar regardless of the time, and his greatest passion over the last decade has been watching & collecting classic films. There was always a project of some sort going on over at John's. 

While experiencing many hardships earlier in life, John nevertheless strived in his later years to change himself for the better and sought to help others as best he could. Many of us will remember the long and enjoyable conversations we've been lucky to have with John in recent years. John was deeply loved by his mother Sally and grandmother Betty. He will also be sorely missed by his loyal fury companions Mulder, Scully, & Cosmo.

John is survived by his loving daughter Zoe.
